How many weddings do you take per year?
This is something I have no specific cap on, wedding bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and we will always consider any booking request at the time. It's also important to not over-book so we can focus on our couples and give them the best experience possible.
How long have you been a photographer?
I've always had an interest in the art of photography, from an extremely early age. At around the age of 12 I started to learn how to develop websites and in doing so was always around great photographs. I first picked up a 'real' camera when I was 17, so to answer the question - 12 years at time of writing.
Where are you based?
I'm based out of Pudsey, West Yorkshire. The great thing about Pudsey is the ease of access to natural beauties such as the Yorkshire Dales and our lovely coastlines.
How old do you recommend a child to be for your newborn package?
We recommend children to be no older than 12 weeks when taking our newborn photos. Wherever possible we will always try and accommodate a booking earlier than that but to ensure the best quality of images, 12 weeks is the max age for this package.
My child is older than 12 weeks, what do you recommend?
We have a number of options at our disposal for a child older than 12 weeks, we can for example visit to take some more natural, home setting photographs. Alternatively if the weather is good we can take some group family portraits with your little one outside at your local park.
How many images do you provide?
All of my packages, excluding wedding packages have a specific amount of photographs that you will receive. Weddings are slightly different in that each one has its own focus points meaning the number of photographs received will be different from one wedding to the other.
What is your turnaround time?
All my photographs are turned around in no longer than 14 days, however in most instances you will receive the images much sooner.
What payment methods do you accept?
We can accept all major credit & debit cards or bank transfer payments.
Do you photoshop your subjects?
When using the term 'photoshop' it's understood that term means airbrushing, altering the way people look. Other than skin blemishes such as bruises, scratches, spots etc we don't photoshop images.
What should we wear?
This is a question that entirely comes back to you. Clothing can make or break an image, by picking the right clothing we can give a certain look - for example, on a rainy day we would advise children wear wellies, raincoat and bring accessories such as an umbrella this allows us to play on the fact it's raining and use it to our strengths. On a sunny day however you would recommend a hat and summer wear.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel our photoshoot / wedding?
Once your deposit is paid to us, that deposit becomes non-refundable. We do permit rescheduling of photoshoots without any additional charge as long as we are notified no later than 30 days prior to the event. If we're unable to accommodate the rescheduled date we cannot be held responsible and you will forfeit your deposit as mentioned. If you wish to cancel or reschedule your wedding with less than 30 days to go you will be liable for the full outstanding balance.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
Bad weather in the UK is inevitable, in the event your photoshoot falls on a day with bad weather and it's a wedding / christening we have no option but to embrace the weather and use it to our advantage. For example rolling out the wellies and umbrellas - this can really add to the image and show that no matter the weather, we enjoy ourselves. If you have booked a portrait photoshoot and the day is forecast bad weather then this comes down to your personal choice, we are happy to reschedule at no additional cost even down to the day before alternatively we embrace the weather as mentioned above.
