10 Reasons You Should Not Hire Me to Photograph Your Wedding Day

Want a wedding album where you look like a porcelain doll or an Instagram influencer who hasn't eaten carbs in five years? Sorry, not happening. I'll make you look amazing, but I’m keeping you you - laugh lines, happy tears, and all.

If you're not into sneaking away for a few minutes to chase that dreamy, golden sunlight, we might have a problem. I'll drag you away from the reception for some truly breathtaking shots - maybe even in the rain - don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Want your wedding photos to look like you’re filming a spy movie, all serious and intense? Yeah, that’s not my vibe. I love to capture the laughs! If you’re not into catching yourself laughing so hard that you might need a tissue for your tears, then you might want someone else. I'm all about those big, happy smiles — like, from ear to ear.

Expect me to suggest goofy poses, spontaneous dance moves, and ridiculous candid shots that showcase your personalities. If you're looking for only stiff, serious, and overly posed photos, I’m not your person. My couples often tell me it's like having a friend photographing their day, I'll capture it damn well, but we're having fun doing so.

Do you have an uncle who gets too into the dance floor? A bridesmaid who overestimated her ability to drink champagne gracefully? Those moments will be documented.

If you’re someone who wants to micromanage every shot, every angle, and every moment, then you should not hire me. I believe in trusting the process. Let me do my job, and you focus on enjoying your day! I’ll do my best to make you laugh, make you feel comfortable, and make sure you feel like I’m just another guest at your wedding — except with a camera and a knack for capturing those perfect, unplanned moments. If you’re going to be watching me through a lens and directing every shot, it might be best to find someone else who will let you feel in control. 😉

You’ll see me crouching, climbing, laying on the ground - doing whatever it takes to get the shot. If you're worried about me getting weird angles or invading your personal space (in a totally professional way), I might not be for you.

I will not let you feel awkward in front of the camera. I’ll be shouting things like, "You two look incredible!" and "YES, that’s the one!" until you fully believe it. I may also crack a few school playground jokes, anything to make the moment special. If you don’t want a personal confidence booster, or laughs aplenty on your wedding day, well… your loss.
